As leaders, pastors and laity are called to make disciples who transform the world for Jesus Christ.
Aligning the resources of a congregation around “purpose and outcomes” requires leadership, vision and a clear process to offer Christ in word and deed to a broken and hurting world. These and other approaches will be shared by a team of clergy and laity from the Center for Leadership Development, including Rev. Aleze Fulbright and Kelly Carpenter.
The following workshops will be offered:
- Children’s Sunday School – Patsy Morris
- Church / Administrative Council – Rev. Roy Spore
- Evangelism – Rev. Chris Dowd
Chris will address attracting first guest, offering hospitality and inviting them back. - Finance Committee – Rev. Jody Smith
- Lay Leaders & Lay Members to Annual Conference – Linda Parks
- Leadership Skills Workshop – Rev. Aleze Fulbright & Kelly Carpenter
Following the Plenary Presentation, a follow-up workshop allows participants to delve deeper into their congregational context, receive the Power Point presentation, and discuss ways they can share and lead conversations with committees, teams, boards, and Sunday school classes back home. - Missions / Outreach – Rev. Marji Bishir
- Social Media – Rev. Troy & Sandra Sims
The workshop will address how the church can use Facebook, Google, YouTube to reach members and guests. - Staff Parish Relations Committee (PPR / SPRC) – Dr. Marvin Guier
