The Summer Youth Musical at FUMC is a tradition that goes back to 1948. Each year, a cast of youth, crew members, adult production team members, and other youth and adult helpers get together for five weeks to put together a world-class production. Donations, program advertising, and ticket sales enable most productions to operate at a profit. The proceeds are then used for contributions to the Youth Service Fund, the Capital Funds Campaign of the church, Retreat and Camp Scholarships, and / or the Youth Scholarship.
The 2009 Summer Youth Musical Production of Bye, Bye Birdie will be coming to FUMC on:
- Thursday, August 6 at 7:00pm
- Friday, August 7 at 7:00pm
- Saturday, August 8 at 7:00pm
- Sunday, August 9 at 2:30pm
Tickets cost:
- $10 / adult
- $8 / child (grade 6 and under)
Don’t forget to help out by helping to provide ice cream for intermissions! There a couple ways you can help:
- Checks can be made out to FUMC with “ice cream” written in the memo.
- As always, donations of homemade ice cream are welcome and encouraged! You can bring your ice cream just prior to any performance. There’s no need to sign up for a specific date.
