The School for Little People, which began in 1965, is an exceptional place for children, ages 2-4, to be loved and nurtured as they grow and develop. Extended care for pre-schoolers can be structured to fit your needs to provide care before and / or after pre-school.
At SLP, our director and staff are qualified, well-trained, and inventive persons dedicated to early childhood professionalism and are committed to excellence in all areas of our program. It is our conviction that the seeds of the adult the child will become are inborn, and that their nurturing should begin at birth. Every human has the spontaneous urge to learn. It is our purpose to aid children’s self-discovery by allowing and encouraging them to explore, experience, and absorb their environment. We want children to develop their talents, coordinations, and relationships with adults as well as peers.
It is our desire to aid children in the knowledge that they are unique and important persons; that all life is a gift from God; that they are loved as persons and are able to love in return; that they can care for themselves and their environment; that through discovering a good self image they will be better able to know God as the creator of all life. We look for spiritual growth with bi-weekly chapel services and daily classroom emphasis on love and friendship.

Today, we learned that we are to “be ready for God” when God calls us to do something. Our example was the story of the first Passover and Exodus when the Israelites had to be ready to leave!
This first day went very smoothly and was, in a word, “EXCELLENT,” as 135 children began to consider God’s recipes for their lives!
IT IS NOT TOO LATE for children to come and participate! So, if you missed the first day, no problem! If you’ve got a friend you’d like to bring, bring them tomorrow! We hope to see you!
