We use the Workshop Rotation Model for Children’s Sunday School in order to help the Children to experience Bible stories in many different ways as they grow in faith. We invite and encourage all kindergarten-3rd graders to be a part of this faith experience.
In the Workshop Rotation, the same story is taught for four weeks, but children rotate to a different workshop each week to learn about the story in a different way. The repetition of the same story week after week helps the child remember the story. By teaching the story in a different way each week, the child has an opportunity to learn the story in a way that best suits their strengths in learning.

We divide into two different age groups, and each age group will gather in a particular room before going to the workshop for the week. See the map at the right to see where these rooms are located:
In addition to dropping your child off in this room, you will also pick up your child in the same room at 10:15am!

Our Children’s Sunday School worked together today to sell lemonade after the 10:30am Worship Service to raise money for PowerPaks 4 Kids, a project of the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank, that provides food for disadvantaged children in our community on weekends. It cost about $170 / child per year to provide this service.
By raising $742.48, our children provided this service for a little over 4 children! Way to go!
All of Children’s Sunday School (Pre-School, Grades K-6, including Confirmation) will meet in the FUMC Park (across 11th St from the Church) on September 4, 2011! Come join the fun!

The K-1st Grade Sunday School Class (under the leadership of Courtney Grimes & Andreia Waggoner) learned about what Jesus did in his last week in Jerusalem by taking part in a scavenger hunt. The children had much fun learning about these important aspects of Jesus’ life! Check out the pictures on this page!

On April 5, 2009, the Children’s Rotation Sunday School started a new study called “Easter: Go & Tell.” Using Matthew 28:1-10, 16-20 as a basis, the children are learning that Jesus told his disciples (including the children and us) to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey all that Jesus commanded.
