It was entitled, “Our Forward, Inward, Upward, Outward, Journey toward God.” It entailed brunch with all sorts of goodies from sweet rolls to muffins, fruit to casserole, and coffee to water. It entertained with music by the Bel Canto Trio and Karen & Meagan Lamberth. It inspired by the words and example of Rev. Molly Goodrich.
Over sixty women – teenagers and up – came together on a Saturday morning to hear words of wisdom of how ALL are called to ministry. Just not all are called to ordained ministry. God is calling out to each of us, and Molly gave practical ways to hear and follow that call
This fun musical was originally written by Andrew Lloyd Weber for a friend’s son’s prep school production. It is the Old Testament story of Jacob and his 12 sons (including their wives and children), and, of course, Joseph’s coat . Pharoah and Mr. & Mrs. Potiphar help the plot to thicken!
The Music Ministry of FUMC will present this multi-generational musical with over 45 children, youth, and adults in the cast with many more assisting on costumes, tech crew, etc.

As of Wednesday, October 12, 2011, our Prayer Shawl Ministry began meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of the month on the 3rd floor of the Education wing!
The evening started with a soup supper provided by by Nancy Orr, Deena Haarmann, and Jenny Fadow. Then, Joyce Barham talked about making shawls for FUMC shut-ins, and all agreed this was a wonderful first project. Nancy Orr and Deena Haarmann taught several members to do a new pattern, and all shared tips.
The next meeting will be Wednesday, November 9, 2011 on the 3rd floor of the Education wing with supper from 6:30-7:00pm followed by stitching and fellowship from 7:00 – 8:30pm.
Rev. Molly Goodrich will bring our message of spiritual growth on the topic of “Our Forward, Inward, Upward, Outward, Journey toward God:”
Forward – God and our freeing, loving relationship
Inward – Our identities as being created in the image of God
Upward – Prayer
Outward – Community
