The Journey Sunday School Class

About our class:

  • We are a small group of college age and young adults who are striving to grow in our faith as we journey together through life. We pray, study, and worship together while sharing our trials and our triumphs, and we love to have fun! A person can easily be involved a little or a lot with The Journey Class.
  • We are a welcoming group that enjoys new people. We hope you will join us!

What and how do we study?

  • Studies are chosen by the group based on life relevance and group interest. Typically these are studies that require no preparation, allowing anyone to participate at any time.
  • Resources the class has used include:
    • Confronting The Controversies: Biblical Perspectives On Tough Issues by Adam Hamilton
    • Solving The Da Vinci Code Mystery by Brandon Gilvin
    • Faith Matters: Discovering the Faith
    • Living the Questions Video Study
    • Our Journey Video Study.

Where does The Journey Class meet?

  • We meet on the third floor of the Education Wing in room 303 overlooking the beautiful Prothro Atrium.

What time do we meet?

  • Our class meets from 9:30 to 10:15 each Sunday morning, allowing time for members to attend either the 8:30 or 10:30am Worship Services at FUMC.

Fellowship Activities:

  • From time to time, we will go out to lunch together as a group after church for food and fun. Join us sometime!

Three Sunday School Classes Work Together to Help Less Fortunate

The Keystone Class provided desserts; the Journey Class provided servants to serve the meal; the Bi-the-Way Class provided the main course and servants to serve the meal.

That’s how it happened at the Monthly Power Meal at Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls, a ministry to provide a hot, nutritious meal for the less fortunate in our community.  These groups served about 30 people who are finding themselves in the midst of hard times.

THANK YOU TO THESE CLASSES FOR THEIR SACRIFICE!

“. . . for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. . . .  Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”

Jesus in Matthew 25:35, 40
