Our 10:30am Worship Service opened with the hymn, “All Glory, Laud, and Honor,” and the children of our church processing into the Sanctuary waving palm branches, recalling the biblical story of Jesus entering Jerusalem so long ago. Following festive music and thought provoking readings and preaching, it was time for lunch.
As they have for many years, the Berean Sunday School Class provided a delicious meal of spaghetti and meat sauce, salad, and bread. In addition, this year, they treated us with a tasty dish of chicken alfredo pasta! About 190 people were served! THANK YOU BEREAN CLASS.
After lunch, we had a special visitor in the Easter Bunny (thank you, Breanne Press for arranging to get the Easter Bunny here). Rev. Pellikan reminded us that Easter Eggs are a symbol of new life, which Jesus’ resurrection was (and is) a symbol of as well!
Then it was time for the Easter Egg Hunt! What a blast! In addition, each child got an Easter Book entitled The Promise of Easter and a bubble stick!
What a great way to begin Holy Week!
