We rehearse every Wednesday from 7:00pm-9:00pm in the Choir Room in the Undercroft (under the Sanctuary). These rehearsals prepare us for leading the 10:30am worship on Sunday mornings as well as for presenting special worship and music opportunities at other times throughout the year. We invite you to join us!

Beautiful music of love was heard on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at The Gables (at Rolling Meadows) and House of Hope as members of our very own Chancel Choir sang for the shut-ins there. Many thanks to those who went to put a smile on the face of loved ones of our church and community.

Our annual Advent Celebration with beautiful music (featuring Children, Youth, and Adult Choirs along with ensembles), a live nativity, and candlelight will take place:
Following this beautiful service, we will have a Festival of Tables covered with goodies to eat and drink in Fellowship Hall.

The Chancel Choir sings “And Now Abides” at First United Methodist Church, Wichita Falls, Texas, June 14, 2009. Text by Ann Clarkson. Music by Kiyo Watanabe. Kristen Gossett, director.
Many said it was the best yet! The reason may be that the night was dedicated to Joyce Barham and the many years of service she has given the church as a volunteer and as a staff person!
The delicious menu included pork tenderloin, potato casserole, tangy vegetables, chocolate cherry cake, apple dump cake, rolls, and drinks. Our youth group served as waiters, and in the process, they raised over $700 to go towards their mission trip to Galveston later this month.
The repertoire was diverse with old and very modern Broadway Show Tunes; Old and New Country; Blues, Standards, and Rock ‘n’ Roll Oldies – and just about everything in between! Thank you to the YES (Young Energetic Seniors) and Chancel Choir for sponsoring this awesome event!
