Many thanks go to all those in the Chancel Choir who went caroling at nursing homes on Sunday, December 11, 2011. They truly brought joy all those who had the opportunity to hear them.

We rehearse every Wednesday from 7:00pm-9:00pm in the Choir Room in the Undercroft (under the Sanctuary). These rehearsals prepare us for leading the 10:30am worship on Sunday mornings as well as for presenting special worship and music opportunities at other times throughout the year. We invite you to join us!

“Now that was a Christmas service!”
These are just two of the comments about the special worship of lessons and carols with live nativity on December 4, 2011.
All vocal choirs (Cherub, Trinity, Wesley, Chapel, and Chancel) worked to make this event a success along with members from the Asbury Ringers, Elizabeth Yeager (flute), several youth and ministry assistants in the live nativity, and the ministry staff.
Special thanks also goes to all of those who brought goodies for Cafe le Paul in the Atrium prior to the service!

The sanctuary was packed for this production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat that brought together 48 performers – not to mention directors, stage and tech crew, and others who worked behind the scenes to bring this great event to fruition.
If you missed the performance, you missed a really fun time as the inspirational story of the Joseph was told in song! It was great to see so many people from our community in our church who do not usually attend here. What a great outreach! Special thanks to Judy Braddy for set painting!
Check out pictures from this great event, thanks to DeEdra Folmar!
“Next time you gaze at . . . the Last Supper painted by Leonardo da Vinci, note the ripple effect: Christ in the
center and the ebb and flow of movement as it ripples out from Christ past the disciples – all grouped in threes, their posture and positions accentuating that ripple effect.”
-Lois Gagne
Although our Music Ministry at FUMC is not a Da Vince masterpiece, God uses it to create a similar ripple effect in many lives. Your music produces vibrations and resonations far beyond one’s imaginations.
Thank you for your “waves.”and to all who participate in the Music Ministry of our church, especially during Holy
Week. Thank you for your ripple effect of action, passion, and Divine Blessing!
