Jewish Heritage Month at Midwestern State University
First United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls has been invited to participate in Jewish Heritage Month activities sponsored by Midwestern State University. Particular days and points of interest include:
- Tuesday, April 14, 7 pm @ Shawnee Theater / Clark Student Center Showing of Paragraph 175, a documentary concerning Nazi persecution;
- Thursday, April 16, 1-2:30 pm @ Kiowa / Clark Student Center – Judaism 101: Forum & Discussion. An overview of Jewish history, theology, rituals, traditions, and culture with open Q&A to follow;
- Monday, April 20, 2 pm & 8 pm @ Shawnee Theater / Clark Student Center – Showing of Schindler’s List, Steven Spielberg’s epic depiction of the Holocaust;
- Tuesday, April 21, 7 pm @ Sunwatcher Plaza - Yom Ha’Shoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) Ceremony & Candelight Vigil; and
- Thursday, April 23, 6:30 pm @ Temple House of Jacob, 3414 Kemp Boulevard, Wichita Falls - Talk by Holocaust survivor with discussion to follow.
