Mary Grote Passed Away Friday, August 6, 2010
Mary E. Grote, 83, of Wichita Falls passed away Friday, August 6, 2010.
- Visitation will be Monday, August 9 from 7:00-8:00pm at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
- Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 10 at 1:00pm at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Dillard officiating.
- Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Grote was born in Wichita County to James and Grace Lee Brackeen and was a lifelong resident of Wichita Falls. She married Wilbert L. Grote on February 23, 1943 in Wichita Falls. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls and she and Wilbert attended Couples Class for many years. Mary was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for several years. She spent most of her life as a loving wife and devoted mother.
Survivors are her husband, Wilbert L. Grote, Wichita Falls; sons, David Grote, San Francisco, Ca., Donald Grote, Lufkin, Tx. and Richard Grote, Mechanicsburg, Pa.; Grandchildren, Daniel and Joshua Grote of Pennsylvania and Justina Walker of Lufkin, Tx.
