In part I see communion as blessing. Since the last supper was a passover meal, Christ took from the left overs of the meal to make a symbolic meal that is to be shared in the community of his followers. So in another part I see communion as fellowship. It is important to me and one of the reasons I attend different smaller worship service is because they have communion every sunday, and couples and family groups can take communion together and recieve a prayer of blessing. I also important to me to be able to take a turn serving communion and praying for others. The best large communion service I attended was at a united youth fellowship in Catania, Sicilia. Instead of somberness they instructed the youth to come rejoyceing in the remission of their sins. So communion for me is blessing, fellowship, and joy.
