Cook Off Raises $2460 for Missions Locally & Abroad!
THANK YOU to all who provided chili, stew, desserts, decorations, appetites, and votes to make the Missions Team Chili / Stew / Dessert Cook-Off such a success on February 21, 2010. There was more food available than could be eaten by the almost 150 people who took part in this fun fellowship event. We all had to pay to get in, and then we voted for our favorite foods with money. The winners of the event are as follows:
- Chili – Kristian & Tammy Kowing – $171
They won a $25 Gift Card donated by Pioneer / McBride’s Restaurants; - Stew – Sue Sperry – $41
She won a $20 Gift Card donated by Luby’s Cafeteria; - Dessert (Fruit Pizza) – Margee Adkins – $67
She won $25 in Gift Cards donated by Gidget’s Sandwich Shack; - Overall Class Winnings – Exodus Class – $374.04
They won Rev. Sims as a teacher for 4 weeks; and - Class Presentation – Exodus Class
They won 3 packs of gourmet coffee!
