Jim Lawrence Passed Away February 15, 2010
Jim Lawrence, who joined FUMC on January 29, 1984, entered the next stage of life on Monday, February 15, 2010. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 pm Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home with Rev. John Dillard officiating.
Mr. Lawrence was born July 22, 1931 in Cordell, OK to Morris S. and Jewel (Dabney) Lawrence. He was a retired chemical manufacturer, but his passion was fine art oil painting. After graduating from WFHS in 1948 he attended Baylor University on a Track Scholarship. Jim served his country in the Texas National Guard. Later he became a Mason.
Mr. Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents Morris and Jewel and a grandson Bryan. Survivors include his dear wife; Vivian, two children Jeff and Sandra, grandsons; James and Jon Bryant, and great granddaughters; Justice and Grace.
Memorials in his name can be directed to the Humane Society of Wichita County.
